30 Days of Features- Maudlin Strangers

Someone once told me when you get music submissions, for every hundred songs you will get one song that just, ugh. That's just so good that it makes it worth it having to listen to all the shitty android voice memo recording submissions. This song ends the five year hiatus of Maudlin Strangers, and I'm so glad.

Hailing from the heart of Los Angeles, Maudlin Strangers, the brainchild of Jake Hays, embarked on its indie rock journey as a solo project in 2010. The early days saw independent releases and the formation of a band with close friends—Jeff Lehrer on Guitar/Keys, Kenny Benson on Bass, and Richie Gonzales on Drums. The turning point came with a deal from BMG/Vagrant Records, leading to the release of the label-debut EP, "Overdose," in 2015. This paved the way for a tour alongside label-mates Bad Suns across the US and Canada.
