Interview with Adam Reiwood, the guitarist of the band LeVel.
1 Let's start out with you giving your name and socials. Plug them below.
Adam Riewold, guitarist of LeVeL you can follow us on all social media @LeVeLtheplanet
2 Where are you from/Where are you based out of?
We are a Tampa based band
3 Name at least one weird habit that you have that you regularly do, and has anyone ever noticed you doing it?
You mean besides scratching my butt & balls and picking my nose? I like to crack my neck and knuckles. I also stretch before every show.
4 What do you think about Heavy Vibe? Or media in general, if you could say something to let all people working in media know, what would it be?
Heavy Vibe kicks ass! We need more media that helps promote up n coming artists. There is so much underground talent that gets ignored by commercial outlets.
5 What do you like most about working in the music industry and what do you like least about it?
I love playing music and writing songs. The thrill of being on stage is the greatest. Especially knowing that I am surrounded by amazing artists in my band. I love the support of the fans and the other bands that are here to unite the scene. What I don't like is those that talk crap and try to divide the scene. Those people can fuck off.
6 Do you have a mentor?
I have many mentors. There are so many artists that I look up to and respect. I have been fortunate enough for some of them to take time to help me along the way and give me great advise. Especially Tom DeFile of Saigon Kick/The Wilkof Project and my good friend Jerry Morte of www.voodoocustomguitars.com
7 If you could meet one celebrity, who would you meet? (dead or alive)
Howard Stern
8 What was your dream job when you were you were younger?
My dream job growing up was to play music professionally. Luckily if been able to do it for some portion of my life.
I'm at loud venues a lot, I love when people want to talk to me, but sometimes they unknowingly spit on me while talking. This grosses me out.
10 Who is the best cook in the band?
I was a chef for over 10 years, so I'm definitely the best cook.
11 Where was or would be your favorite place to perform?
The favored place I've performed so far was at the Beachum Theatre with PANTERA. The places I hope to play one day is Wembly and Maddison Square Gardens
12 Name one time you have broken the rules.
Only one time? Hmmmm, I don't break the rules as much as I used to, but I would have to say the excessive amount of drugs I used to do back in the day.
13 Who is your biggest musical influence?
It's hard to say who is my biggest influence. I would have to say Tony Iommie is one of my earliest influences. I leaned how to play guitar by playing along to Black Sabbath albums over and over and over. I explored so many different styles of music throughout the years since then including rock, metal, blues, jazz, hip hop, alternative etc...but I do love those heavy power chords.
14 If you could go on tour with any band or artist, who would you go with? (You can list more than one)
Ozzy, Slipknot, TOOL, Godsmack, Lady Gaga, I would love to go on tour with Rob Zombie. I met him a few years ago and he seems like someone that would be fun to hang out with.
15 Do you like spicy food? Why?
I love spicy food. It clears your sinuses and gives me a rush
16 Are you usually late, early, or on time?
I pride myself in being on time. I find it disrespectful to be late. It shows lack of commitment and caring when people are late.
17 How often do you use the internet?
I use the internet everyday. Probably way more than I should. Especially social media. I think I'm addicted to it.
18 What scares you the most, and why does it scare you so much?
What scares me the most is getting old. I dread the day of becoming cripple, blind and brittle. I grew up in South Florida where there is a large elderly population. I would see older people that could barely function. Hooked up the tubes, using walkers and hunched over. I don't want to ever be like that.
19 What is your favorite kind of animal and why?
I'm a dog person. I love my dog. I do feel a connection to Hyenas though. Probably because they live a harsh life. Scavengers with blood on their face, doing disgusting savage sick shit, Laughing while doing it.
20 What is the nastiest thing a fan has ever done to you, and what is the best thing a fan has ever done?
The nastiest thing a fan has done is probably that spitting on me while they talk to
me. The best thing is when they show up at our concerts, download our music and buy merch. Without these things LeVeL would not be able to continue to live our dream.
me. The best thing is when they show up at our concerts, download our music and buy merch. Without these things LeVeL would not be able to continue to live our dream.
21 What is your favorite song by your band, and what is your favorite song to perform at shows?
It's really hard to pick a favorite song we do. That's like being asked to pick your favorite child. The s
22 What is one song or band that whenever you listen to it/them you can’t stand to listen to it?
Anything by Offspring. I can't change the channel fast enough
23 Make me a playlist, put some songs that you have been listening too lately here.
My playlist lately consists of Royale Blood, Hed Pe, Mr Bungle, Joyner Lucas, Deftones, APC, Slipknot and Chick Corea.
24 Back to the Nasty. What’s the nastiest thing that’s happened to you before a show, recording, traveling, anything related to your work.
The nastiest thing, by far...In a former band, we used to fart on each other as a goof. Our old singer was asleep on the tour bus. My other guitarist thought it would be funny if he pulled down his pants, put his ass in our singers face and farted on him. Instead of farting he "sharted", covering our singers face with diarrhea shit. It was so disgusting. I think it has a lot to do with why the band eventually broke up.
25 Tell me about your recent Album.
LeVeL has an amazingly new album in the works. I couldn't be more proud of this project. It has incredible energy. There are heavy driving guitars with melodic passionate vocals. I am mostly proud of the songwriting. I feel like we have multiple potentially hit single songs.
26 Where do you think your music direction is heading? Have you felt you have changed a lot? Elaborate.
I feel like our music is getting heavier, but still has the catchiness of the earlier stuff.
27 What are you future plans, this isn’t just music related.
My future plans include growing this franchise. I love touring and playing shows. I also like helping other artists get the recognition they deserve.
29 Say some advice to anyone trying to go into music.
My advice to anyone trying to get into the music business would be to play from your heart. Don't worry about what's popular or what other people's expectations are. Play music that interests you and music that you enjoy playing.
Play like you have something to say, not something to prove. Play what you hear. If you don't hear anything, don't play anything. Promote the hell out of what you are doing.
Also, support other artists. We are all in this together. The bigger your scene becomes, the better chance you have to get noticed.

30 Who is the most exciting person you have worked with music wise?
The most exciting person I've had the pleasure of working with is Dimebag Darrel (RIP) I also enjoyed working with Marlyn Manson.
Thank you Heavy Vibe for allowing me to answer your questions. We truest appreciate you for giving us exposure and an opportunity to gain new fans.
