The Death Metal Grandma

Inge Ginsberg is known as the 'Death Metal Grandma', 96 years old, and surfacing as a Death Metal Icon. Which is definitely something I can get behind.

Ginsberg, lead singer of the Death Metal band Inge and the Tritone Kings has a lot more than just being a Metal Grandma behind her to ass to her kick-assery. Ginsberg grew up during the beguining of WW2 in Austria, when fleeing the Holocaust she and her husband Otto became refugees in Switzerland. Eventually ending up in America, and then Hollywood.

Throughout her life, in the short documentary, it is revealed that Ginsberg writes poetry. This poetry is converted into Death Metal, as a way to ensure that the poetry will never die, as it will be embodied by the music that is created.

The reason that they chose to embody the music as Death Metal is because of the dark tone of the poetry, feeling it would fit better as lyrics to a Metal genere rather than anything else.

Above is the documentary I had been mentioning. It is so interesting and I found it such a good watch. You guys had said you wanted to see some more story based with history posts, so when I came across this and fell in love, I thought you guys would also.
